Little Cherubs Shortlands is one of our two family-run nurseries, proudly located within the Bromley residential area, close to several local primary schools and community amenities.

Families benefit from ample nearby parking and excellent transport links, including bus routes and direct train services into London Victoria in approximately 25 minutes.

Our private nursery driveway provides convenient pull-on, pull-off access, along with additional gated fencing to ensure safe and secure drop-off and collection. This thoughtful layout allows daily arrivals and departures to be smooth, efficient and stress-free for parents and carers.

Our learning environment

Originally two separate houses, the building was carefully adapted and joined together in 2004 to create our welcoming 46-place nursery, blending a homely atmosphere with a purpose-designed early years environment.
We provide three carefully designed classrooms, each tailored to support children’s developmental stages:

• Bright Beginnings – Baby Room
• Tiny Tots – Toddler Room
• Shooting Stars – Pre-School (2+ Years)

Each room is warm, engaging and thoughtfully resourced to promote independence, curiosity and confidence.

Outdoor exploration

Our main playground features a specially designed soft rubberised safety surface, creating a secure and comfortable environment for active play.
The outdoor area encourages children to:

• Explore nature
• Develop physical skills
• Extend their learning through outdoor activities
• Engage in imaginative and investigative play

During the warmer months, our large canopy provides shade and sun protection, ensuring children can enjoy outdoor experiences comfortably.

We also have a sheltered garden section, offering flexibility in all weather conditions.

Our facilities

Our younger children’s room includes a dedicated indoor messy play area, allowing children to explore creative activities in a stimulating and engaging environment.

The Tiny Tots room also benefits from a small gated garden area directly accessible from the classroom, enabling safe free-flow play throughout the day and encouraging children to explore both indoor and outdoor environments.

The nursery building also includes:

• A separate cot room providing a calm and restful sleep space for our youngest children
• An on-site kitchen where fresh meals and snacks are prepared daily
• A dedicated staff area & nursery office
• Pram shelter

Safety & security

The safety and wellbeing of our children is always our highest priority.

For added reassurance, Little Cherubs Shortlands benefits from:

• Secure entry systems with fob access.
• CCTV monitoring throughout the premises
• A fully maintained on-site fully automatic defibrillator (AED)
• ALL Staff trained in Paediatric First Aid

Our CCTV system supports the overall security of the building, helping us maintain a safe and protected environment for children, staff and visitors.

The presence of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on site provides an additional layer of emergency preparedness. Our team are trained and confident in following emergency procedures should they ever be required.
