All fees are calculated monthly and are a guide. Your

Meal, Activity & Consumable Charges.
These are optional, parents can choose to bring their own cold packed lunch (adhering to our packed lunch guidelines) and opt out of activities.

Need-to-Know Extras
- Our full daily fee is inclusive of nappies, wipes & formula milk for under 1s. (If your child requires a specific brand or has allergies, please provide your own.)
- Fees are charged 52 weeks of the year and apply to all booked days, including bank holidays, Staff Training days, nursery closure days, and holidays.
- Have more than one cherub with us? You’ll receive a 10%
sibling discount, applied to the eldest child’s fees.
Deposit/Admin fees & Notice periods
- A Deposit of £450.00 is required to secure your space. £60 Admin Fee (non-refundable)
- This deposit & admin fee is to secure your non-funded/private hours.
- We do not charge deposits/Admin fees for 100% Funded hours
- Non funded hours/Private hours: Deposit remains with the nursery until you decide to give 4 weeks’ notice to leave. The deposit is only refunded through your last month’s fees if your child has been with us for 3 months, plus 4 weeks’ written notice
- Funded hours: You are not obliged to give us notice for the funded hours however, we respectfully ask that you give as much notice as possible whilst also paying due regard to our notice period for non-funded hours.
Funded Hours– here’s how it works at Shortlands
- The funding starts the academic school term (September/January/April) after your child turns 9mths/2yrs/3yrs, depending on how old your child is when they join us.
- 30HRS: The maximum number of funded hours your child can receive is 1140 hours per academic year for working families. This is equivalent to 30HRS for 38 weeks of the year.
- Little Cherubs Shortlands Stretches the 30HRS working families funding over 49 weeks giving each child a maximum of 23.26HRS of funding each week.
- 15 HRS: The maximum number of funded hours your child can receive is 570 hours per academic year for Early Learning 2YR Olds (EL2YO) the 3&4YR Universal. This is equivalent to 15HRS for 38 weeks of the year
- Little Cherubs Shortlands Stretches the 15HRS Universal and Early learning funding over 49 weeks giving each child a maximum of 11.63HRS of funding each week.
- No funding is claimed for the last week in August and 2 weeks over the christmas break.

Additional charges:
- Funded hours are offered STRETCHED over 49 weeks per year. Any remaining hours/weeks are charged at full price.
- Any hours not claimed can be used at an additional childcare provider
- Government funding is intended to deliver up to 30 hours of free, high quality, flexible early education and care each week to children under 5 years old.
- Funded hours are accessible free of charge to parents/carers; Government funding is not intended to cover the costs of meals, consumables, extra activities, additional hours or additional services.
